Ariana Viera, a 26-year-old Venezuelan model and beauty-pageant representative, died following a
traffic crash in Orlando, Florida, in July 2023, just as she was building momentum in her modeling career. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened on July 13 on Boggy Creek Road near J. Lawson Boulevard. Viera was driving a Mazda CX-30 when her vehicle struck the rear of a slowing semitrailer. She
was taken to a hospital but was pronounced dead shortly afterward. Viera’s mother, Vivian Ochoa, later told Telemundo that she believed her daughter had been extremely tired and may have fallen asleep while driving. The reports also said Viera was working on several professional opportunities and was preparing for upcoming beauty competitions. The tragedy received
additional attention after an Instagram video Viera had posted in May resurfaced online. In the video, she joked about recording herself for her “future funeral,” explaining that she was usually the person behind the camera. The post was made months before the fatal crash and was widely described by media outlets as eerie in light
of what happened later.
Viera was remembered by family and followers as a young woman pursuing
